About the Sunshine & Smiles Team
Sunshine and Smiles Summer Camp was created by Hanaya Ali and Joanne Horowitz with a simple goal: to offer families a reliable, well-run summer program that kids genuinely enjoy.
We are a family-run camp built on over 20 years of combined experience in education and summer programming. Our vision was shaped by years of hands-on experience and a desire to create a camp that is engaging, thoughtfully planned, and exciting for campers each day.
Sunshine and Smiles has grown into a camp families return to year after year because it delivers a meaningful, enjoyable summer experience for both kids and parents.

Meet Hanaya Ali, our enthusiastic summer camp director! With a PharmD and MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Hanaya brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to our camp. Her background in cheerleading and coaching gymnastics ensures our campers have a blast while learning new skills. Hanaya's passion for family and fun shines through in everything she does, making her the perfect leader for our summer adventures!
Meet Joanne Horowitz, our dedicated summer camp administrator. With over a decade of experience in preschool education and managing a local school bus company, Joanne brings a wealth of knowledge and operational expertise to our team. Her passion for children shines through in everything she does, and her leadership ensures that every summer at camp is unforgettable!
